Listen this day was a whirlwind and I’m just coming to grips with it now o_O flashing camera lights in your face at every turn and one of the most prominent sounds i could hear was, over 50 click click sounds per second, coming from multiple cameras grasping every inch of all the outfits worn at LFW14?
I was completely thrilled to be a part of London fashion week 2014…
I didn’t intend on visiting London fashion week this year due to other commitments, but that was all about to change as I found myself designing a coat within hours before day 2 of London Fashion week A/W, yet again I found myself up all night with a 20mintue mental ‘’Manga Style Coat’’ concept, as I made this coat I felt like the manga character, Sara Pezzini I to had hardly ever have a rational explanation for the ‘’normal’’ world, The life of a designer aye.
Seriously once my coat was made all I remember was, running out the door.... sleep what’s sleep? boom camera lights action…. Or more like vogue, vogueeee let your body move for the cameras, sings madonna song at every turn, looool and I mean at every turn how do celebrities do it? And would you believe I wore a facemask the whole time *dies of oxygen starvation* lol … all in the name of fashion baby lol I felt at home for once, everybody looked so fabulous walking around Somerset house all dressed up to kill.
So many creative outfits was being show cased by the real people of fashion the people from the streets. However I hardly got a chance to take pictures of people and or pictures of the catwalk show i blame my outfit! but i do have mini video footage of the catwalk shows on my >Instagram< >.<
The day was absolutely breathtaking, dear I say breath.. the struggle to breathe was real yo, thanks to my my buddie V with every turn she said ‘’you alright girl, pull the mask off for a sec and take a breath’’, followed by ‘’I cant understand a word your saying’’ every time i tired to speak lol, damn we never giggled so much before in our life!
The mask wasn’t the only reason why I struggled to breathe, as we constantly got bombared by cameras and photographers, we amazing stumbled across a designer called Larry Tee, I briefly met him at London fashion week last year in 2013 and I instantly became a lover of the brand TZUJI if you don’t know get to know > TZUJI.com
One minute cameras was in my face the next I was in walking an talking to Larry Tee as we entered into his showroom, I was more than overwhelmed, me in a showroom full of larry tee's creations … catch me as I fall to the floor with garments from the TZUJI rail, in my arms ooooowwwwww the collection was called ''Save the human'' how ironic lol! Jokes joke I stood there in the showroom in shock for a minute then started snapping away at the 90/80s inspired Futuristic, colourful, robotic printed garments.
As I floated out of the TZUJI showroom on a fashion high, ahahahahaha boom I was in the Nasir Mazhar catwalk show, the was runway lit up with extremely bright lights and within seconds, POW out walked the coolest rad punked up 90s looking models wearing amazing bold printed brand entitled, ''Nasir Mazhar'' elastic waist/shoulder strap design featuring small fur details on some of the garments, talk about totally getting us ready for A/W with a dash of sporty spice’s character, this was sportsluxe at its best and yes I was still breathing believe it or not…. Imagine this was only day two stay tuned for my next blog post featuring day three at London Fashion Week 2014 SCREAMSSSSSS hint hint colour explosion!!
